The printed heart of Velunia
The Magazine
The printed zine is the heart of Velunia: irregular, handmade, atmospheric and assembled from essays, fragments, images, reviews, poems, field notes and strange local findings.
It exists because some things deserve to be held in the hand. Not everything should become content, scroll past, vanish and be replaced by the next thing.
Issue One
Issue one is currently being assembled. It will gather the first proper fragments of Velunia: local history, folklore, heavy music, industrial memory, ruins, water, poetry and myth.
The aim is not perfection. The aim is atmosphere, curiosity, seriousness, roughness and a sense that the past is still making demands of the present.
